Fitness Assessments at Personal Best
“Great Information!
NOW WHAT ... SPECIFICALLY ... DO I DO NEXT?”
This is the question that unfortunately goes
unanswered after far too many fitness assessments. You ... the
consumer ... have a professional, color, bound report with your
name on it and no real plan for implementing what should be the
most important component of a fitness assessment.
“Personal Best @
Denver West” Fitness Assessments.
What the tests are. What the tests are not.
1. Tests are administered by a personal fitness
training professional. We are the National Personal Training Institute
... we train the trainers. We employ over 100+
years of combined talent and education ... in personal fitness
training. See our staff on our website, www.NPTIColorado.com.
2. We apply our knowledge and skills to assess
your physical “current state” and as needed to construct
a plan to reach your desired “future state”. We provide
a plan with crystal clear goals and measurements answering the
question:
“Are we making progress
in reaching our intended goal? If not, are we taking the necessary
corrective measures?”
3. We are not clinically oriented. We are not
here to address issues more appropriately answered by a medical
professional. We will coordinate with your chosen medical professional
and implement prescribed / monitored corrective measures (within
our area of expertise). For example, we will collaborate with
your physical therapist to implement a prescribed set of exercises
required for your rehabilitation.
4. Schedule a comprehensive fitness assessments
and let us design a customized personal training program in these
areas:
::
Cardiovascular fitness
:: Muscular fitness
:: Body weight /
Body Composition
:: Posture Assessment
:: Nutritional Advice
(we are not dieticians)
:: Flexibility
Body Gem - Resting
Metabolic Rate (RMR)
($79.00 standalone / both “before” and “after”
tests included with a 3-month or 6-month personal training package
and your annual fitness center membership)
What is a metabolic
measurement? ... or “RMR” tells you
how many calories your body burns in a day.
::
Lean muscle mass burns 200% - 400% more calories than fat mass
:: Muscle mass occupies
30% less space ... 30% less of your clothes!
Metabolism changes as overall composition changes
... in other words ... decrease body fat and
increase lean muscle mass and your metabolism
increases.
So what if I know
my RMR?
:: Knowing your
RMR will allow you to establish a “calorie budget”
for your body
:: Knowing your
RMR as you implement a personal training plan will give you quantifiable
data to guide you through increases / decreases of relative caloric
intake, types of foods, aerobic training, strength training, rest
and relaxation.
We can enable you and automate you further using
the BalanceLog software tool. Quite simply, BalanceLog
software (which will run on your computer, your PDA, or even through
a web enabled Internet connection):
::
Works with any diet program or goal whether you want to lose weight,
gain weight ... BalanceLog will monitor your nutrition and fitness:
calories in, calories out, as well as protein, carbohydrates,
saturated fats, cholesterol, fiber, sodium, and more!
::
Provides access to thousands of foods, exercises, restaurants,
and personal menus
Tri Fit Fitness
Assessment
($99.00 standalone / both “before” and “after”
tests included with a 3-month or 6-month personal training package
and your annual fitness center membership)
The end result of a TriFit Fitness Assessment
is a printed report detailing your “current state”
(your current physical condition) with a clear direction
down the path to your desired “future state” (the
physical condition you would like to achieve).
This “total body” computerized assessment
uses both “real time” data taken by the TriFit system
(e.g. body composition using a skin fold technique) and data provided
by you or your doctor (e.g. blood chemistries, cholesterol level,
and family history such as cancer, problem pregnancy, heart disease
etc).
